About Us

Habitat_2009.GIFThe mission of the United Way of Lee County is "to optimize collective resources supporting human service programs that improve the quality of life in Lee County."

We're the premier charity in Lee County. No other charitable organization helps as many people in Lee County as the United Way. From 1960 to 2010, we distributed more than $11,000,000 to dozens of excellent non-profit agencies.

 

We seek to help those who cannot help themselves. Every year, when our board of directors meets to make funding decisions, we consider those agencies that are meeting the most critical needs of the people of Lee County.
